What a wonderful experience!
Hosted in the wonderful Carry le Rouet, near Marseille, the 2025 edition of the ALADFI convention has been an important occasion for meeting old and new friends (and for practicing French!).
The event was a unique combination of interesting seminars, round tables, workshops, everything was created and lived with a strong focus on the association’s present and future life.
I got specially involved at the initial round table on the role of new technologies and their impact on new making and restoration. Together with Beinot Dupeau, Joel Klepal, Paul Noulet and Eric Lourme, we discussed about the impact of new 3D technologies on the work of the violinmakers.
